Circle 109 is one of the most innovative pieces of contemporary architecture in the city centre, we love the copper-green detailing and the crisp white facade contrasts beautifully with the surrounding Victorian buildings. There are plenty of nice details here, from the olive-green gloss tiling at street level to the penthouse apartments with their sloping roofs, large private terraces and panoramic views. The curved facade on Lydia Ann Street is our favourite section although the views of the adjacent suburban bungalows in Vincent Court aren't the best we've seen. However, the rest of the apartments have lovely views especially at the rear of the building where Henry Street is full of attractive Victorian conversions. We would have given Circle 109 a 10/10 Luvthecity rating if the kitchens, bathrooms and communal spaces had more innovative and better-quality fittings, but nothing's perfect! However, the location takes some beating - this quiet street is just five minutes from the busy bars on Concert Square and the great shops on Wood Street
