After the success of the Abito 'crash pads' in central Manchester, the developers have built another one - this time in Salford Quays. Once again the building has an impressive design with an imposing communal atrium, large concrete steps and rainbow-coloured lighting. The canvas roof design has been used again and it sits beautifully on this handsome glass-fronted structure. There are two styles of apartment, a classic 'studio' with fold-down bed and integrated kitchen, plus a handful of 2-bedroom units with the largest roof terraces in Manchester. There are some nice design touches too, solid wooden floors, tons of storage and extra-high ceilings. Our favourite apartments are the west-facing ones with their superb water views across Salford Quays
