Located in the heart of the gay village, Regency House is THE daddy of Manchester warehouse conversions. Many refurbishments claim to be authentic but this is the real thing; 33 huge loft apartments with high ceilings, wooden floors and iron columns. Despite the rather bizarre fish tanks, the communal space is impressive with its wooden beams and tall glass atrium. But it's the quality that really stands out and many of the apartments have been re-fitted to make them amongst the best in Manchester. Our only criticism would be the slightly vibrant location, but the thick walls do their best to address this. Most apartments have nice outlooks but the top floor ones have panoramic views across Canal Street from their sheltered terraces
