Liverpool's first landmark residential tower really helped to kick-start the city's regeneration and the skyline hasn't been the same since. Located just off the waterfront, this 27-storey building has panoramic views of Liverpool city centre, the River Mersey and across to the Welsh hills beyond. The curved facade gives unobstructed views, the internal spaces are nicely designed and the fittings are great. However it's not 100% perfect; the grey-rendered facade can look a bit gloomy in wet weather and the addition of balconies would have made all the difference. But apart from this the Beetham Tower remains one of Liverpool's most sought-after addresses
