Located on the south-west fringes of the city centre, Velocity is a large contemporary development set in attractive and well-planted landscaped grounds. The development has four blocks; one overlooking Manor Road and the other three sheltered from the main road by a hotel and two large office blocks. Therefore despite Velocity's busy location, most of the apartments are surprisingly quiet. It's a clean modern design too, with a red-brick facade and wide glass-fronted balconies. The surrounding area isn't exactly homely and it can feel a little windswept at times, but the block is superb value-for-money and you can walk into town in less than 10 minutes
