Located to the south-west of the city centre, South Ferry Quay was one of the first residential developments to be built at in the docks and it's looking pretty good for its age. This is mostly down to quality; a lot of money was spent on these blocks and it really shows. This large collection of apartments and townhouses look impressive and the communal gardens are lovely. The pale-yellow brick apartments and townhouses on the eastern side have wonderful views across Brunswick Dock and the red-brick apartments on the west-side have uninterrupted panoramic views across the River Mersey. There is a wide variety of styles and sizes from standard one-bedroom apartments to large 3-bedroom duplexes and huge townhouses with integral garages and private waterside terraces. Unlike more recent developments, the rooms sizes are generous and many of the kitchens and bathrooms have been refurbished to contemporary standards
