Liverpool has three large dockside warehouses; The Colonnades, Wapping Dock and this one - the most northernly of the three, Waterloo Warehouse. This handsome Grade-II listed building is one of the Liverpool's historical landmarks - you see it every time you drive north out of the city centre and its large imposing scale never fails to impress. The long building turns its back on Waterloo Road and concentrates on the wonderful views of the adjacent dock. The communal areas are large and impressive and the apartments nicely finished. We particularly like the ones with brick-vaulted ceilings. Unlike the other two warehouses, Waterloo misses out on our 10/10 luvthecity rating due to the slightly ageing 1980s fittings and the fact that the rooms sizes could have been a bit more generous. But apart from that it remains one of the best addresses in Liverpool
