Located just behind Deansgate Station, Hill Quays is squeezed into a small canalside site but still manages to make the best of what is an otherwise cramped position. It's a nice, clean contemporary design that contrasts well with its historic warehouse neighbours. The glass walkway that links the two separate blocks is a nice touch and the kitchens and bathrooms are well-designed. The large expanses of glass make the apartments really bright and there are some interesting and eccentric layouts too. The curved facade at the rear of the building offers nice canal views and open-air car park next door won't survive for long, so the outlook from most apartments will get better with time
